Moving Langford forward, together

From a new medical clinic to safe routes to school, we've spent the last four years doing the heavy lifting to fix our city's foundation. Let's keep the momentum!

As a lifelong resident, I know the pressures we face as a growing city. I'm fighting for a more connected, affordable, and vibrant Langford; a city that works for all of us.

As a Langford taxpayer, I feel the pain of the increase too. Many of us are struggling to build a future in this city, and I don't take that lightly.

When we took office, we found that our city had been under-funding essential services like the fire department for years to keep taxes artificially low. We were essentially ignoring our city's real needs to keep the numbers looking good on paper. We were also using developer contributions to balance out ongoing operating expenses… rather than putting that money towards real public infrastructure. We had to make a choice: continue that 30-year pattern, or make the necessary investments to get our city on the right track.

Four years later, some of the tangible benefits include:

  • 15 new RCMP officers
  • 27 new full-time firefighters
  • A new medical clinic with 10 new family doctors
  • Safe sidewalks to schools

My goal is to ensure your tax dollars are being spent wisely to pay for the services we need today, rather than just covering up long-term problems.

  • Livable neighbourhoods

Partner with non-profit housing providers to deliver homes working people can actually afford and create vibrant spaces with free community events so you can connect, play and stay active without breaking the bank.

  • Connected streets

Build safe and reliable infrastructure that gives you real choices in how you move, while pushing for fast and frequent transit to help you slash your commuting costs.

  • Accessible services

Bring more essential public services directly to Langford and support the expansion of community-led medical clinics so everyone can find a family doctor.
