The City of Langford stands on the traditional lands of the lək̓ʷəŋən-speaking peoples, specifically the Songhees, Xwsepsum (Esquimalt), and Sc’ianew (Beecher Bay) Nations, as well as the W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples represented by the Tsartlip, Pauquachin, Tsawout, Tseycum, and Malahat Nations, all of whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.
